Obituary
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of L. Bernard Keith “Bernie” at Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday September 12 2020. Bernie was survived by his wife Marjorie (Losier) Skelding Keith his two sons Larry Skelding (Lori) and Rob Skelding (Tammy) and his daughter Lorie Skelding (Keith); his grandchildren Michael(Kayla),Jessica(Andrew)Kaitlin(Neal)Brittany(Emily)Zac and Ashton; great grandchildren Myniah, Kheagan, William and Raiden, his sister Betty Fougere and his brother Reginald Keith Predeceased by his parents Marjorie Jenkins and Louis Keith his brothers George Keith and Patrick Keith and his sister Hazel Beamish (Gerald) and his grandson Mason. Bernie in his younger years was an elder for the united church on Kingston Peninsula. He was a bartender at the Elks Lodge as well as a member. Bernie worked at Baxter’s dairy for most of his life becoming an independent milkman until his retirement. In his later years he enjoyed going to country jamborees with his wife Marjorie doing puzzles at home and spending quiet time with his family. Bernie really enjoyed the weekends when his grandchildren and great grandchildren would visit.
Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424). A private family visitation and interment at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery will take place. In lieu of flowers donations to the palliative care unit would be appreciated.
