KLEMP Marie January 12 2020

On Sunday January 12, 2020 Maria (Marie) Bartel-Klemp (ne Plett) of Onoway (age 90) was led to her eternal home by her Lord and Savior with family at her side. Marie was born in Bloomensfeld Russia on June 30, 1929 to John and Margaret Plett. Her family immigrated to Canada in 1930. She met and married Henry Bartel in 1965. They raised their 3 children Anita, Kevin, Richard on the family farm outside of Onoway until Henry’s passing in 1985. Marie remarried in 1992 to Rudolph Klemp and resided in the Onoway area until Rudolph passed in 2018. Shortly thereafter she moved to the Chateau until her passing. She loved gardening, being involved in the church and volunteer work both in the church and in the community.
Marie was predeceased by her loving husband of 21 years, Henry Bartel and by her second husband Rudolph Klemp of 27 years. She is survived by 3 children Anita(Todd), Kevin(Sandra), Richard(Tracy), 10 grandchildren, Gage, Laura, Karla, Madison(Pascal), Gina(Josh), Clayton ,Shelby, Bailey, Carson, Keira and 1 great Grandson Carter.
Memorial Donations in Marie’s honour may be made directly to the White Cross Canada. Just make a cheque or money order out to “Taylor College and Seminary – White Cross Canada” and please write “White Cross” on the memo line as well, then send it to:
