Klaus Gustav Klein Sunday June 21st 2020

Peacefully at Caressant Care, Marmora, June 21, 2020, in his 82nd year. Husband of the late Irene Berta Tripp (1993), brother of Christel Munz (husband Manfred) of Germany. Klaus or ‘Nick’ emigrated to Canada in 1958 and married Irene in 1964. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and outdoor activities such as skiing and snowmobiling. Nick worked as a Stationery engineer for Correctional Service of Canada at Warkworth Institution for 34 years from 1967 to 2000 and was a devoted member of Trinity United Church, Hastings. A graveside interment service was held at Trent Valley Cemetery, Hastings. In memory of Nick, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made at www.brettfuneralchapels.com.
A special thank you to the staff at Caressant Care – especially to Nick’s nurse Jenna and his PSW Amanda. During these unusual times, the staff have kept the residents virus free and have given extra special attention to their patients when family and friends couldn’t visit. They are a warm and compassionate group and deserve a huge thank you.
