Ken Pruden 2020

Obituary for
Ken Pruden
It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Ken Pruden on March 10, 2020, at the age of 86 years young.
Ken was born November 9, 1933 in Winnipeg, MB to Conrad and Mable Pruden. Ken worked hard in various careers in Winnipeg and Vancouver, and eventually owned his own company, Prudential Building Maintenance in Edmonton, AB. In 1987 he met his loving partner Sharon Andrews and together they shared a wonderful life spending countless weekends at Seba Beach and travelling to many places around the world. Ken had many passions which included his art work, golfing, annual trips to Mexico with his nephews and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed his time with his pals, The Wilbury’s.
Ken was known for his kind and friendly spirit, his huge zest for life, playing the washboard and harmonica around the bonfires at Seba Beach and his love for all dogs.
He is survived by his partner of 32 years, Sharon; and will be forever missed by his children, Karen (Jim) of Vancouver, David (Christine) of Vancouver and Brandon (Barb) of Nova Scotia; stepchildren, Debbie (Craig) of Edmonton and Darrin (Laura) of Vancouver; grandchildren, Carli, Amanda, Michelle, Casey, Audrey, Avery, Nathan, Sean, Brianna, Mason and Alex; and siblings, Jack and George. Ken will also remain in the hearts of many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Mable Pruden; daughter, Linda; and siblings, Connie, Ralph, Lloyd, Vern, Myrtle and June.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Leduc Hospital, especially nurse Julie (Ward 21). Details regarding Ken’s celebration of life will be shared at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
