Kenneth Howard Metherall
We are sad to announce the passing of Kenneth Howard Metherall on March 5, 2020. Born in Bedford he was the son of the late Jim and Jessie (Stone) Metherall. Ken spent his working life as a Shipwright at HMC Dockyard, retiring after 38 years of service. He and his wife Kay served as church wardens at St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Queensland, for 25 years. He found much joy in the outdoors and, in later years, took great pleasure in maintaining his home and property. Many thanks to the V.O.N. for their steadfast service over the past several years, enabling him to remain independent until his passing. A special thanks to Angie for her continued care and compassion over the years. Predeceased by his sister, Jean; brother, Peter, Kay, his wife of 49 years, as well as children, Kathy and Gary. Survived by his brother, Jim (Betty); son, Wayne; daughter, Karen (Richard) Wood; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
