Obituary of Ken Lewis
LEWIS – Kenneth Earle “Ken” of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at the age of 78. Ken is survived by his loving wife Carol Lewis (nee Powell); by his daughter Lori (Paul) and grandchildren Marc, Michael and Nicholas Buttazzoni of St. Thomas; by his step-daughter Donna Axford and grandchildren Matt Axford, Jesse (Tina) Derbyshire, and great grandchildren Desmond and Clayton; by step-daughter Christine Axford (Dwayne Lavoie) and grandchild Kyle Lavoie; by his sister-in-law Dorothy Lewis (late Carl); and by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Lorena Lewis, his sisters Florence Leslie and Doris Reavley, and by his son Richard Lewis. Ken worked at Clark Equipment for 30 years before retiring from GM Diesel. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, and was a founding member of the South Dorchester Optimist Club. Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Cremation to follow. Current COVID-19 protocols will be implemented. If desired, donations to the London Regional Cancer Program would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
