Ken Best
September 24, 1936 – September 30, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Ken Best announce his passing at Allendale Long Term Care on Wednesday on September 30, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Elsie Best, Ken will be greatly missed by his children Derek Best (his girlfriend Cheryl D’Costa), Carolyn Best, Ken Best (his wife Lori Best) and his grandchildren Harrison Maunder, Loren Best and Olivia Best. Ken was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, cousin, brother-in-law and good friend to many.
Born and raised in Oakville, Ken worked in garages at a young age and opened Universal Auto Electric with his close friend John Morley (deceased) and specialized in rebuilding starters and alternators for many years. He later opened D & K Auto Electric on Speers Road with his son Derek where he remained until his early retirement.
Ken will always be remembered as a voracious reader, an avid history buff and a motorcycle collector of some distinction. He always had a positive attitude and loved a good get together. Over the last few years Ken battled numerous health issues but remained cheerful. The family would like to thank all the staff at Allendale for making his days happy ones. In lieu of flowers donations in Ken’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. A memorial service will be held at a later date due to Covid-19.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ken Best September 24 1936 September 30 2020..
