JENNINGS, Kelly – as written by Kelly Jennings
I love Elvis!! I love cats!! I love the Toronto Maple Leafs, I love words and music, I love laughter, and I love all of you.
Even though I will miss y’all dearly the Good Lord and I decided it was time for me to move home. I had 55 magical, happy, trying, sad, wise and wondrous years. I am survived by everyone still breathing including my best friend in the entire universe Terry Moore and her husband Jerry, my mom Deanna, my dad George, my sister Sue-Anne, my brother Sean, and my niece Ava as well many cousins. I am also survived by many many friends also, that I consider my family. As per my wishes there is to be no funeral and no service – I mean if I can’t be there what fun would it be ? If you would like to make a donation in my memory – I would be honored and ask you to donate to the Children’s Make A Wish Foundation, The Canadian Mental Health Association, the Cancer Society or the Simcoe and District Humane Society – better yet, adopt a furry bundle of love and enrich your lives with true unconditional love. I hope I made you laugh. I hope I made your life better in some small but significant way, and I pray that you remember me fondly and with love. Every time you hear a cat purr or see an Elvis move or hear an Elvis song, every time you watch the Maple Leafs score, I’ll be right there with you. “Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray. Smile. Think of me. Pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word it always was – let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind just because I am out of sight ? I am waiting here for you, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well” Arrangements are entrusted to the FERRIS FUNERAL HOME, 214 Norfolk St. S., Simcoe (519-426-1314) Online condolences may be made at www.ferrisfuneral.com
