JOHNSTON, Keith Nelles
July 24, 1927 – December 18, 2020
The final page of the book of Keith’s life was quietly turned at Grace Villa on Dec. 18, 2020. Keith was 93 years old. Beloved husband and best friend of Reta Mae, married for 71 years. Left to remember Keith are wife, Reta, sons, Ed and wife, Mary, Doug, and wife, Tanya, Daughter, Jean and husband, Tom, Joyce and husband, Darwin, and June. Keith with be missed by his 14 grandchildren, Chad Johnston, Nathan Johnston, Amanda Hendry – Greg Dean, Dennis Whitt, Christine Whitt, Timothy Whitt – Wesley Lynch, Amy Lynch – Rick Kindree, Kevin Kindree, Julie Kindree – Jeff Hannah, and Emily Hannah. Fondly remembered by his 28 great grandchildren, Hayden Johnston, Caleb Johnston, Josh Johnston – Jaxson Johnston, Paisley Johnston – Rayan Uwadiae, Maylia Uwadiae – Porsha, Devlin, Dalton, Zachary – Kyler, Colson, Bryseton, Ellenisa Marr – Jorden Lynch, Jenna Lynch – Davin Kindree, Vanessa Kindree, Darren Kindree – Ethan Kindree, Emma Kindree. Keith was the eldest son of Edwin Johnston and Laura Johnston and survived by his sister Ruth McBride. Keith worked at Union Gas for many years to support his family and accepted an early retirement where he tinkered in his shop for many years. A private visitation and service will be held at Miller Funeral Chapel in Caledonia, ON. In lieu of flowers, desired donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society in Memory of Keith.
