Keith’s Obituary
It is with incredible sadness and broken hearts that the family of Keith Wilton announce his peaceful passing in his 69th year at his residence in Kippens, NL (2nd House on the left past the bog) surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by: his devoted wife Debbie “Chub”; his daughter Kimberly (Fred) Ighomon; grandchildren Caleb and Aisha. Also left to mourn are: his sisters: Margaret (Monty) Banks of Dartmouth, NS, Dorothy Wilton of Calgary, AB, Susan (Jamie) Billard of Dartmouth, NS, and Laura Downey of Oshawa, ON; his brothers: Norman Wilton (Chester Tuck) of Brandon, MB, and Chris Wilton ( Debbie Miller) of Sackville, NB; as well as a large number of nieces and nephews, extended relatives and friends.
Keith was predeceased by: his parents George and Stella Wilton; his sister Colleen Lush; and mother and father-in-law, Mike and Jo Dacey.
Keith was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed trips on snowmobile into Lewis hills and many other places in Western Newfoundland. He and Debbie also enjoyed quad riding with their friends while having a lot of laughs playing fun games. He looked forward to his Saturday night card games while listening to the Cabin Party and trying to figure out who the singer was. Keith was always willing to lend a helping hand and the number of people that he had touched in some way reached far and wide.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held Saturday, October 17th, 2020, at St. Stephen’s Parish, 78 West St. Stephenville, NL. Due to Covid-19 health restrictions attendance is by invitation only. Interment will follow at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Keith’s memory to the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation.
Debbie, Kim, Caleb, Aisha and families would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Sheila Dwyer, Dr Vermaak; the Community Health nurses and staff who assisted in Keith’s homecare, the staff of the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital – Chemo-Therapy Unit and the staff of Ben’s Pharmacy. They would also like to take this opportunity to express a heartfelt thank you to the many friends and family who assisted in this most difficult of times as well as Linda Hoskins and Diane Gaudet for their care and compassion to the very end.
