Kay MacFarlane Harrison 2020

Catherine (Kay) Harrison
Florence
It is with the utmost sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Catherine Harrison, 83. While sudden, Kay passed peacefully with her devoted daughter, Margaret Ann, and cherished granddaughter, Kiara, by her side.
Kay was predeceased by her husband, Charlie; parents Alex & Maggie (MacLean) MacFarlane; her brother, Sandy MacFarlane and his wife Marsha; and her twin brother, Bobby MacFarlane and his wife Ena, with whom she was very close; and her dear friends Judy Young, Jen MacKinnon and June Laffin.
She is survived by Marg and Kiara (Erika); many nieces and nephews, notably Scott and Rebecca; and beloved family in Scotland. We must also mention her best friends, Heather Jardine, Pammy Pye, Norma Taylor, and her cousin and lifelong best friend, Josephine Clarke.
Kay was an active member of the United Church – a lifelong member of Wilson United until it’s closure, and in recent years St. Matthew Wesley.
She enjoyed the simple things in life – caring for her family and friends, church activities, her faith in God, and, of course, a good conversation. She also had a love for animals, especially her many cats she loved throughout her years.
Special thanks to Dr. Michel McKeough and Louise, as well as the nursing staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
A graveside service will take place at Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines, on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at 2 pm. All are welcome. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Kay MacFarlane Harrison 2020..
