Obituary for
Katieva “Kay” Myskiw
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Katieva “Kay” Myskiw on April 22, 2020 at the age of 101 years. Kay was born in Musidora, AB and spent most of her earlier life in Two Hills, AB sharing her musical and social skills as a teacher and active community member. Upon moving to Edmonton, she and Nick were active in St. Basil’s Parish, particularly in the church choir. Kay enjoyed traveling, gardening and celebrating family occasions. We lovingly remember her commitment to family and spirit of generosity.
Kay is survived by her son, Bill (Joy); daughter, Karen Nekolaichuk; grandchildren, Ryan (Tammy), Kevin (Melissa), Sean (Danielle), Jarin (Laura) and Colin (Erica); great-grandchildren, Dacia, Declan, Hope, Paige, Bree, Zachary, Maverick, Tenley, Zoey, Maxwell, Isla and Madison; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents, Peter, and Pearl; husband, Nicholas; and siblings, Mary, Sophie and Bill.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Continuing Care Lynwood for their kindness and compassionate care of Kay.
A private service will be held with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In memory of Kay, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.
