Chamberlain, Kathleen Annie age
98 ofCountry Harbour, Guysborough Co., passed away peacefully, Sunday,
August 16, 2020, in the R.K. MacDonald Nursing Home,
Antigonish. Born in Country Harbour, she was a daughter of
the late Gordon and Minnie (Mason) Hudson. She was an adherent of Holy
Trinity Anglican Church, Country Harbour. While Kathleen only had two
children of her own, she was a second mother and grandmother, a caring
heart and a helping hand to many children in the community. She worked
for many years at the Bickerton Industries fish plant where she
cherished many laughs with all her girlfriends at work and on the trip
there and home. She enjoyed going to Bingo and over the last several
years loved the many visits from all of her friends and family. Mom
will be fondly remembered for rocking at her window and watching the
community come and go. Kathleen is survived by her son, Weldon
(Eleanor), Country Harbour; daughter, Wendy (Joe) Bowman, New Glasgow;
foster-daughter, Carol Kelly, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Lonnie,
Tamara, Lucas; great-grandchildren, Reese, Reillie, Cameron, Jeremy,
Joseph; sister; Verna Styger, Antigonish; sister-in-law, Irene
Kupchanko, Hamilton, Ont., many nieces, nephews and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Emery, in September
2013, brothers, Leslie (Beulah Dukeshire), Wayne; sisters, Elsie
(Walter) Hines and Ethel (Clayton) Munroe, brother-in-law, John
Styger. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be a private family
viewing and service, on Wednesday in Holy Trinity Anglican Church,
Country Harbour with Rev. Susan Slater officiating. Interment in Holy
Trinity Anglican Cemetery following the service. Memorial donations
may be made to Holy Trinity Anglican Church or Holy Trinity Anglican
Cemetery. Kathleen’s family would like to send a heartfelt
thank you to the Tanglewood staff of the R. K. MacDonald Nursing Home
for the wonderful kindness and care given to mom. Funeral arrangements
