Katherine ‘Kay’ Goodwin
1945-2020
We are so sorry to announce the death of our Mom, Mary
Katherine “Kay” Goodwin, age 74, of New Glasgow, on
Saturday, June 13, 2020. She was a daughter of the late Charles and
Jeanette Hayman of New Glasgow. She loved her children and her
grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren very much,
they were her life. Kay always put her family before herself, nothing
meant more to her.
Kay’s hobbies were reading and knitting and she
loved bingo and doing her puzzle books. If she didn’t have
lots of noise and family around, she wasn’t
happy!!! Kay was a wonderful wife, Mom,
grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbour.
Kay is survived by sons: Billy, Herbie (Brit), Mark, all of
New Glasgow; and John, Edmonton; daughters: Jen, Stewiacke; Debbie,
New Glasgow; brother, Barry, Trenton; sisters: Helen and Gloria, both
of Stellarton; Donna, Westville; several nieces, nephews,
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Anthony; sons:
Stephen and John Colin; sisters: Charlotte and Patsy; brother,
David.
Service will be at a later date. Donations can be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation. Arrangements are
under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New
Glasgow.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Katherine ‘Kay’ Goodwin 19452020..
