Obituary of Kate Coyle
Coyle: Mary Kathleen “Kate”
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Kathleen Coyle (Kate)at the age of 48. Much loved daughter of Sharon and Joe Carmichael and Leon Michael and Marie Coyle, devoted sister to Kerry (Aaron), Donny (Tanya), Robert, and adoring Aunt to Noa, Gavin, and Reagan.
A graduate of St. Lawrence College’s Nursing Program and UBC’s School of Nursing, Kate spent many years on the west coast as a dedicated labour and delivery nurse and later as a compassionate fertility consultant. She was an animal lover and cared for many dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and parrots during her lifetime. She leaves behind her faithful dog Murphy and a trio of cherished cats. Kate will be remembered for her exceptional generosity, her unique sense of humour, and her fierce and determined spirit. She met life’s challenges with bravery and grace and was an inspiration to those that were lucky enough to have known her. Kate may you fly with the angels and be with us always – our nurse, our teacher, our guide, show us the way. Donations in her memory can be made to the Gananoque & District Humane Society. The family will hold a celebration of her life at a later date.
