Karin Shell Ohskopp Thursday October 15th 2020

Aug. 5, 1942 – Oct. 15, 2020 (78 years)
In loving memory of Karin Maria Shell who passed away at home with family by her side on October, 15, 2020.
Karin was the loving wife of 61 years to Ronald Shell. Proud mother of Bonnie Shell Levesque (Marc), Debbie Godsey, Patrick Shell (Kari). Adoring grandmother of Lindsay Gordon (Jamie), Matthew Levesque, Jillian Kuruliak (Jordan), Brandon Shell, Karli Shell, Curtis Godsey (Kelsey), Shawn Godsey (Alexus), and Tim Godsey. Karin was also a great grandmother to Wesley Gordon, Tyson Kuruliak, and Alaia Godsey with 2 more to arrive soon.
Born in Essen, Germany, Karin arrived in Canada in 1952 with her mother, Luise Neitzert (predeceased 2000). Karin is also predeceased by her father, Heinrich Ohskopp (1943).
In 1959 Karin and Ron married and began their beautiful life together in Naughton, Beaver Lake, and Espanola. Karin was an avid gardener, quilter, and knitter. She worked hard at making her house a home with excellent baking and cooking. She enjoyed cross-country skiing and volunteering with the Walden Cross-Country Ski Club. Summer months camping at Wakami Lake brought special joy, making lifelong friends along the way.
Karin will be forever loved and cherished in our hearts and memories.
At Karin’s request there will be no funeral. Cremation will take place and a memorial and burial will be held in the spring at the family plot in the Waters Cemetery.
In Karin’s memory, in lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation they can be made to the ALS Society of Canada or to the Walden Cross-Country Ski Club.
