Obituary for Karen McIlmoyle-Opperman
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 1, 2020. Karen McIlmoyle-Opperman, of Petrolia, in her 79th year. Born in Peterborough, the daughter of George and Hazel McIlmoyle. Karen is survived by her husband of 34 years Doug Opperman. She will be missed by her children Brenda (Paul) Bugg, Darlene (Luke) Archer, Denise (Trevor) Jackson, and Dan (Lisa) Opperman and her grandchildren Erik, Brandon, Autumn, James, Matthew, Madison, Alexis, Joshua, Jenelle, Jerrica, Tori, and Harlee. She will be missed by her brother Bill (Lenore) McIlmoyle. She is predeceased by her siblings Beverly Bovair, Barrie McIlmoyle, and George McIlmoyle. Karen will also be missed by her many friends at Lorne Henderson campground. She was also a lover of wine and country music. Due to COVID 19, a celebration will be held at Lorne Henderson Campground when it is safe to do so. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer Society (alzheimer.ca) or the Breast Cancer Society of Canada (bcsc.ca).
