Obituary of Justin Sandy Hill
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Justin Sandy Hill of Little Burnt Bay announce his passing on August 15, 2020 at the age of 41 years.
He was Predeceased by his grandparents, Brooklyn and Grace Hill.
Leaving to cherish his memory: his darling wife Amy, the love of his life, and his precious daughter, Brooke; parents, Whyman and Viola Hill; brother Jamie (Kathy); parents-in-law, Ross and Pauline Wells; grandparents, Sandy and Glowena Foss; brothers-in-law, Lee (Karen) and Tyler (Julia). As well as nephew Ethan, nieces Megan, Kaylee, Sydney and Avery; and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
Justin’s life revolved around the outdoors and he loved everything about it. Whether he was cutting firewood, bouncing along on his quad, salmon fishing on the Campbellton River, cod fishing at Black Island, or tracking down a moose, he loved it all.
Justin’s love for the outdoors evolved into his dream job of becoming a salmon guide on the Eagle River Salmon Lodge in Labrador, a place he loved to be.
The Fall found him guiding for moose and bear at Riverrun Outfitting and Tours. During off times he was an avid fly tyer. His flies were in great demand in Atlantic Canada and beyond. Many fishermen boasted about his flies many of which he designed himself. He spent countless hours browsing the supply aisles at the Outdoor Supply Store to purchase Just the right thing!
Special thanks to the staff of Gander Hospital, as well as the Gander Cancer Care Clinic, Unit 4 North B Health Sciences Center, Lewisporte After Hours Clinic and Freake’s Ambulance. Thanks as well to Justin’s Family doctor, Dr. Dena.
Resting at Families Funeral Home in Lewisporte, all services will remain private to the family. Cremation will follow.
As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Justin’s memory to assist the family
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Justin
