June Nellie Charters
1930-2020
June N. Charters of McAdam, NB, wife of the late Russell F. Charters,
passed away October 1, 2020 at Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. June
was born at McAdam, NB in 1930, a daughter of the late Russell and
Nellie (Nason) Blair.
She is survived by her children, Becky Charters, Janis Donahue, Brenda
McGillicuddy (Vaughn) and Garnett Charters (Terry); her grandchildren,
Daniel Donahue, Lisa Short (Brent), Teresa Haines (Brent), Darren
Charters (Abby), Melissa Benoit (Mark) and Matthew Charters (Rachel);
her great grandchildren, Allison (mark), Amanda (Conner), Jordan,
Molly, Maggie, Wylder and Cooper; a great great granddaughter,
Brielle; a sister, Violet Stright (Donald); a brother, Robert Blair;
sisters-in-law, Anne Blair and Noreen Blair and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, June was predeceased by
siblings Helen Tracy (late Gus), Calvin Blair (late Ida), Russell
Blair (late Deborah), Wayne Blair, Alfred Blair (late Velma) Gerald
Blair, Leon Blair, infant Holly and sister-in-law Norma Blair, her
parents-in-law, Arthur and Cora Charters and several sisters-in-law
and brothers-in-law in the Charters family.
Visitation will be held at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey
Station, NB on Saturday, October 3, 2020 from 7 to 9 p.m. with social
distancing respected. A funeral service will be held from the chapel
on Sunday, October 4, 2020 but due to Covid-19 restrictions will be by
invitation only and due to allergies will be scent free. Rev. George
Clark will be officiating. Interment will follow at Harvey Settlement
Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darren Charters, Matthew Charters, Brent Haines,
Brent Short, Daniel Donahue and Bruce Blair.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of June, the family
has suggested Lakeland Industries or a charity of the donor’s
choice.
