MARGERUM, June – Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Woodstock on Sunday, October 18, 2020, Olive June Margerum (nee Davenport) at the age of 90.
Beloved wife of the late Bruce Margerum (September 19, 2012). Loving mother of Robert Margerum (Linda), Susan Grecki of Vancouver and Laurie Margerum of Woodstock. Grandmother of Katrina (Nate), Samantha (Luke), Matt (Amanda), Adam and Quentin. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Jim Margerum (Phyllis). Predeceased by her parents Cecil and Olive Davenport, brother Bob, sister Betty, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Herbert and Joyce Margerum.
June was an avid lawn bowler and won the Canadian Lawn Bowling Pairs Championship with her partner Doris Sibley and was inducted to the Woodstock Sports Hall of Fame. Her passion was quilting. She was a member of the Quilters Guild of Ingersoll for many years. She loved the time she spent with the “girls” quilting and gossiping.
A memorial service will be held at the SMITH-LeROY FUNERAL HOME, 69 Wellington St. North, Woodstock (519-537-3611), on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at 1 pm. Interment will be in Hillview Cemetery, Woodstock.
