Julia Victoria passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at Highland Manor in Neil’s Harbour, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Julia, the daughter of Gordon and Ellen (Fitzgerald) Dunphy was born September 29th, 1933 and lived all of her healthy life in White Point. Julia married Harold Briand in 1951 and lived happily together for 66 years until Harold’s passing in 2017.
Julia is survived by sons Patrick (Audrey), Gerry (Marie), Charles (Freida), and Kenny (Linda), brother Cyril and sister Diane, 10 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her special friend Annie.
Besides her parents, Julia was predeceased by her loving husband Harold, brother Alexander, sister Emma and grandson Patrick Noel.
Julia welcomed many people to her home with offers for a strong cup of tea and a challenge to a game of 58.
A special thank you from the entire family to the Highland Manor staff for their many years of care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place with service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highland Manor or to the Alzheimer’s Society. Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com
