Judith Ann Beemer
1942-2020
May 8, 1942 – December 13, 2020
Sadly, we announce that Judith, in her79th year, passed away
peacefully on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Cambridge Memorial hospital
with her beloved husband Fred at her side. Judy is survived by her
husband Frederick Beemer, his children Terry (Bill Clemo), Greg
(Ashley), Patty and her children Jefferson and Carter; along with her
siblings Teresa and Ron Leach of Toronto. She is predeceased by both
parents, and her brother Barry Ross Leach. Judith’s
grandparents immigrated to Canada from England in 1914. They had one
daughter Peggy Biggs, who married George Leslie Leach in 1941. They
had four children of which Judith was the eldest. Married in 1964,
Judy was predeceased by her first husband John Twyford in 2005, and in
2010 she married Frederick Beemer. During the past 10 years she and
her family felt truly blessed that love had found both Fred and Judy a
second time around. Judy was a wonderful homemaker and kept an
immaculate house. She enjoyed interior decorating and creating flower
arrangements. Judy loved music and as a young girl, played the
accordion and later the piano. Throughout her life, she worked as a
receptionist at a modeling agency, sold real estate for several years
in the GTA, and assisted her first husband John with the
administration of his Tractor Trailer business. The family wishes to
thank her oncologists: Dr. Evans, and Dr. Hahn and the 4 th floor
nursing staff (Cambridge Memorial Hospital), Dr. Kasper (Hamilton
General hospital) and dear friends, Nancy and Jack Schneider for their
help during this difficult time. She will be dearly missed and forever
in our hearts. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a celebration of life is
being considered for the spring of 2021 when the world is a safer
place to gather. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests
donations to the Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the
charity of their choice. Arrangements entrusted to Corbett
Funeral Home and online condolences would be greatly appreciated by
the family.
