Obituary of Joyce Wood
Joyce Wood passed away peacefully in her home on April 17, 2020 and joins her loving husband John Wood who died on the same day in 2015. Joyce and John immigrated from Edinburgh Scotland and made Canada their permanent home. Joyce was an active member of the Victoria Hospital Auxiliary for many years and was an avid genealogist. Her strongest passion, however, was for her family, whom she treasured and supported to her fullest right to the end. She will be dearly missed by her son and daughter, Steven and Eileen, her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rod, and her cherished grandchildren, Alexander and Lochlain. Dear to Arline Thom (sister) and Ronnie Rhind (brother) and Bill and Ruby Wood and Alan and Margaret Wood (brothers and sisters-in-law) of Scotland. She will also be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews in both Canada and Scotland and her dear friends across many countries. She will be remembered for her generosity, kind spirit, laughter and love of life. Joyce’s strength and steadfast nature, her love of life, and her joy in everyday moments, will remain inspirations for her family and friends.
