Obituary of Joyce Minerva Dow
With heavy hearts the family of Joyce Minerva Dow announces her passing on Tuesday, December 8, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 1, 1944 in Burtts Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Burton and Faye (Clarke) Jones. She was a hairdresser for fifty plus years. Joyce was a long time member of the Burtts Corner Christian Church. She liked to knit and quilt. Joyce loved her family and her pride and joy were her grand kids and her little flower, Wyatt.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Gerald; her sons, Derek Wallace (Susan McCready) and Duane Wallace (Pam Dean; grandchildren, Taylor Ann Wallace (Daniel), Kristy Wallace, Kyle Wallace and Cameron Wallace; great granddaughter, Wyatt; step children, Gerald Dow Jr. (Karen), Tammy Lynn Smith (Jeff), Kevin Dow and Deborah Dow; sister, Betty Flowers (Donnie); brothers, Garnet Jones (Anita), Ralph Jones (Carolyn) and Carl Jones (Brenda); sister-in-law, Lorna Bemrose; several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health issues, Covid 19 restrictions will be in place for both visitation and the funeral service. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Service will take place at Burtts Corner Christian Church on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 2 pm with Pastor Dan Foreman and Pastor Graham Crandall officiating. Interment will take place in Keswick Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Burtts Corner Christian Church or the New Brunswick Lung Association.
