Rogers, Joyce Dorothy, 88 of the Villa St. Joseph du Lac passed away peacefully on March 2,2020. Born in Yarmouth on May 4,1931 she was a daughter to the late John and Laura (Wamboldt) Stoddard. Joyce was a homemaker most of her life but did work at the old and new Grand Hotel as a waitress. She enjoyed going to the camp and gardening. Loved heading out for the adventurous car rides. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed by her daughter , Rolene (Pat) Leverington, Brooklyn; son, Wayne (Sheryl) Rogers, Argyle Head; grandchildren, Tanya Bangay (Sheldon); Laura (Bill) Bartlett; Cory Rogers (Angela); Amanda Rogers; great grandchildren, Elijah Wood; Bailey and Jaden Rogers; Kinsley Murphy; brother, Emerson (Irene) Stoddard, Kentville; sister, Evelyn (Irving) Warner, Sydney. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Charles Rogers; brother, Gerald Stoddard; great grandson, Josh. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There will be no Funeral Service at this time as per request. A private family will be held in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
