It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joesph Paul Henry Lemay on Monday, May 25, 2020 at the age of 83 years. Paul is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Patrice Michelle Campbell (Garry); three grandkids Korey Campbell (Janelle), Dean Campbell (Kim) and Tanis Phillips (Brian). Paul is also survived by six great grandchildren, Brianna Campbell, Kolby Campbell, Kara Campbell, Ella Campbell, Josh Phillips and Tye Phillips.
Paul was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Juanita (Wanny) Lemay; son, Robert Paul Gerald Lemay; father, Frank Lemay; mother, Lucienne Lemay; five sisters, Annie Weigum (Elmer), Lucille Lang (Dave), Lauretta Schmaltz (Felix), Ilene Ternes (Joe), Madeline Hill (Charles); and three brothers, Raymond Lemay, George Lemay (Grace) and Frances Lemay. Paul was born May 28, 1936 in the hamlet of Carbon, Alberta. From there Paul lived in Trochu, Hanna, Coronation, Phoenix (Snowbird), Gull Lake and Red Deer. Paul’s entire working life involved the oil field in one capacity or another. Paul loved to play and watch sports, his main passions being hockey, golf, horses and skeet shooting. A Celebration of Life will be held later this summer with family and close friends when the Covid-19 restrictions are eased.
