Joseph Joey Young 1939-2020

Bathurst – Joseph “Joey” Young, 81, of Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Friday July 31, 2020 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Leo and Eveline (Boudreau) Young.
He worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill, Young & Buttimer Trucking and at CCNB.
Besides his wife, Anne-Marie (Robichaud) Young, he is survived by one brother, Jean-Paul Young (Simone) of New Richmond, QC. Four sisters: Pauline Buttimer (Donald), Arnolda Young (late Victorin Comeau), Rose Landry (Lorenzo), Lynda Frenette (Norbert) all of Bathurst.
A sister-in-law, Thelma Young and brother-in-law, Camille Latour both Beresford.
Several other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by three brothers: Peter, Claude, Norman and a sister Anita.
A private family funeral will be celebrated from the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Bathurst.
Donations in memory of Joey may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
