Joseph (Joe) Arsenault
1930 ~ 2020
Shediac River, NB – Joseph (Joe) Arsenault, 89, passed away peacefully at Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
Born in Évangeline (St-Philippe), NB, he was the son of the late Joseph Alfred and Mary Edith Arsenault (born McDonald).
Joe will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Alice Arsenault (born Albert); his children, Linda Babineau of Dieppe, Yvon Babineau (Danielle) of Notre-Dame, Alfred Arsenault of Grande-Digue, Lisa Cormier (Don) of Shediac, Denise Gallant (Mike) of Haute-Aboujagane, Eddy Arsenault of Dieppe; his grandchildren, Jessica (Adam), Samantha, Parise, Ryan, Randy (Maria), Vanessa (Justin), Cynthia and Cody (Alexie); his great grandchildren, Marissa, Emma, Bryson, Deklin and Amélia; also by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Wilfred (toddler), Evelyn (Toddler), Dinna, Lilianne, Marguerite, Nora, Yvonne, Edith and Willard.
Joe worked at NB Power for over 20 years and was very proud of his achievements. He was a member of the “Club d’âge d’or”, “Club Chasse et Pêche “of Grande-Digue. Joe was a true Montreal Canadian fan, he loved to play cards, go bowling, go for walks, was a proud and loyal participant in “Jeux de l’amitié” where he made a lot of friends.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Friday, October 16, 2020, from 7pm to 9 pm and on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9 am to 10:45 am. Funeral Service will be limited to only immediate family and friends, on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11 am at Passage Funeral Chapel in Shediac Bridge. The service will be streamed and can be viewed live on the Facebook page at www.facebook.com/PassageFH/for all others to participate from home. (Click on yellow link) The service will also remain available on Passage Facebook page following the service.
Due to allergies, artificial flowers (unscented) would be accepted and a donation can be made to Alzheimer Society (Dementia)or to a charity of your choice.
