Obituary of John Stafford Walker
John Stafford Walker
January 19, 1959 – April 13, 2020
It is with broken hearts that we say goodbye to our loving Husband, Step-Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Uncle John Stafford. Walker. John passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on April 13th, 2020. He fought so hard and we are beyond proud of him for his strength and his ability to keep his sense of humour through everything, right up until the end. John is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Susan McIntyre, his step-children, Ian McIntyre, Emily Houghton (Taylor) and grandson Lucas, sister Heather Creeden (Wayne) and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He is predeceased by his parents, Stafford and Elizabeth (McEwan) Walker and sister Vicki Szlek.
John was full of life, love and kindness for everyone he met. He always had a smile on his face, willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. John loved his wife deeply and was an amazing “Dad” to her children. He was a loyal friend and well read, history being his favourite topic. John was past master of St. George’s Lodge #42, A.F. & A.M, London and a member of the Scottish Rite.
In memory of John, donations may be made payble by cheque to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 410, 310 George Street, Port Stanley. Arrangements entrusted to St. Thomas Elgin Cremation. Share a memory at www.cremationbydennings.com
