Obituary of John Hogan
Passed away peacefully with the love of his family by his side, on Saturday October 17, 2020. John was 68 years old. Loved father of Rachel Hogan-DaSouza and her husband Julian of Port Perry, and Sean Hogan and his wife Michele of Brighton. Loving grandpa of Sierra Hogan. Dear brother of Rosemary Rupert and her husband Bob of Keswick, Joan West of East Linton, Suzanne Rutherford and her husband Mike of Owen Sound, Nancy Buchanan of Owen Sound, and Caroline Forrest and her husband Andy of Minden. John is also survived by 4 nephews, 2 nieces, 3 great-nieces, 3 great-nephews and many great friends. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Marguerite Hogan, and brothers-in-law Dennis Doyle and Wayne West.
A Mass of Christian Burial for John Hogan will be held at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 554 – 15th Street East, Owen Sound, on Tuesday, October 20th, 2020 with Father Kuzma officiating. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends are welcome to watch the service at 1:00 p.m. via livestream by selecting the ‘LIVE STREAMING’ menu option at the top right corner of the funeral home website (woodfuneralhome.ca). Due to COVID19 restrictions, all attendees are required to wear a mask and must follow social distancing rules. Memorial donations to the Chapman House – Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce or Grey Bruce Animal Shelter, can be made through the Brian E Wood Funeral Home, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492).
