John Shymkiw
Peacefully on Wednesday December 23, 2020 at the Betel Home Gimli, John Shymkiw aged 82 years of Skylake, MB passed away.
He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Julia who immigrated to Canada in 1929; sisters Mary Woychuk (Bill), Lillian and infant sister; nephew Robert Woychuk.
John is survived by his nephew Stan; niece Elaine Woychuk her son Ryan and cousins.
John enjoyed farming all his life. If he could he would still be out in the field driving his tractor.
Special thank you to the Dr.’s and nurses at the Gimli Community Health Centre and to Betel Home for their care and compassion.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in the Skylake Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in John’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
