Obituary for
John Marven Miller
Miller, John Marven – age 58, Central Onslow, passed away peacefully at home with wife, Wanda and daughter, Crystal by his side. He was born in Springhill, lived in Oxford and Debert, and resided in Onslow for the past nineteen years. He was the son of the late Marven and Margaret (Walsh) Miller. John was an employee of Kohler Windows for over 20 years. He was known locally as “the car guy” as he had a passion for restoring cars, especially detailing and he was so proud of his big red truck. He enjoyed greeting customers at the carwash with a friendly smile and a conversation. John would help others in any way he could and when he gave his word, he always followed through.
He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Wanda Hatt; daughters, Crystal Hatt (Rocky Turnbull), Ceilidh (Seb) Wilkolaski; stepson, David Hatt; daughter, Laurena Miller and all his other kids, you know who you are; grandchildren, Violet, Sadie, Michael; sisters, Vicki Miller, Wendy Muise, Ronda Bagnell (Steve Peddle), Sherry (Bob) Reid, Margo Miller (Blaise Smith); brother, Jim (Dawn) Miller plus several nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be sadly missed by his pets, “Doggie” and “Key-Key” as well as anyone who knew him. John really loved his family and thought dearly of his special girls.
With respect to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a Graveside Service and celebration to honour John will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro. If so desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the VON.
