1935-2020
The passing of John Lee Sutherland, husband of Evelyn (Smith)
Sutherland of Richardson NB occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital,
St. Stephen NB on December 17, 2020. Born in Scotland on September 19,
1935, he was a son of the late William and Sara Sutherland. A loving
husband, father, grandfather, step-father and brother, in addition to
his wife, Evelyn, John will be lovingly remember by his children:
Heather (Mark) of Arizona, Lee (Lindsay) of Idaho, Stephen of
California, Angela of Arizona and Kathy (Troy) of Miramichi NB;
special grandson: Brandon of Miramichi NB; several grandchildren and
great-grandchild spread over the United States; his step-children:
Sean, Denise (Tom), Lee (Susan), Wilford (Sharon) and Maurice (Kate);
one brother: Bill Sutherland of Scotland; several cousins.
Prior to retirement, John worked as the Finance Officer for several
School Districts. John had a passion for gardening and was the owner
of Boom Road Nurseries in Miramichi. In his free time, he enjoyed
boating and sailing and working on model ships and planes. He will be
sadly missed by those he leaves behind.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with John’s wishes, there
will be no funeral services. In his memory, donations to a charity of
the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
