Obituary
WARNER, John Kirkwood “Kirk”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kirk, beloved husband and father, on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at the age of 80 years. Kirk worked for his father at Warner’s Esso Service, then took over the business when his father retired. He enjoyed bringing up his sons, teaching the boys hunting, fishing, skiing, and the love of the outdoors. He especially enjoyed his special place of paradise – the Hunting Lodge at Cactus Lake with family and many friends. Kirk will be forever remembered by his loving wife Leona, sons Darryl (Leanne) of Calgary, AB, Keith (Sandra) of Saskatoon, and Chris (Rae Anne), granddaughter Avery (Sunshine), step-granddaughter Tana, great-granddaughter Paisley, all of Red Deer, AB. He was predeceased by his father Harry and mother Lillian. Left to mourn his passing are his brother Glen (Aline) Jeffrey and Andrea of Burnaby, BC. To respect Kirk’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held. A Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date. A special thanks to the loving care given to Kirk at the Warman Mennonite Special Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (#2-630-45th St. W., Saskatoon, SK S7L 5W9). Cremation arrangements in care of Aimé Laventure – Mourning Glory Funeral Services (306) 978-5200.
