Mr. John Kevany
On Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 surrounded by his BIG loving family, John passed away peacefully in his 65th year at Windsor Regional Hospital. Beloved first son of Rosemary and Patrick Kevany of Chatham. Dear brother of Barbara doForno (Dominic), Patsy Peters (Greg), Peggy McKay (Luc), Kathleen Kevany (Bill), Sheila Labelle (Terry), Breeda Kevany (Steve) and sister-in-law Helen Ducharme. Predeceased by his brothers Brian, Brendan and Michael who he deeply missed. Loving father of Kassya Kevany (Jamie) of Chatham and proud “Gneushie”(Grandpa) to Maille and Matisse Michaud. Dear Uncle to twenty nieces and nephews, and Great Uncle to ten great-nieces and nephews. Union representative for Local CAW 127 of Navistar, member of the Chatham Metal Detecting Club, and previous member of St. Joseph’s church choir. Most recently, he proudly owned and operated Tinker’s Damn Antiques, Collectibles and More. John will be truly missed by many family and friends. Family and friends are invited to come as you are to celebrate John’s life at the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham (519-352-2710) on Monday, February 10th, 2020 with visitation from 2 to 4 pm (with Parish Prayers at 3 pm) and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 180 Wellington St West, Chatham, on Tuesday, February 11th, 2020 at 11 am. Cremation will follow with interment at a later date. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider a donation to the Hope Haven Men’s Shelter in Chatham.
