It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Sweet at the age of 77 years.
Sandy, Jack’s wife of 54 years, will miss how they laughed together. The big guy will also be missed by his children, Danielle (Jon) and Lee (Shala); his grandchildren, Marcus, Nola, Caroline, and Lincoln; as well as numerous relatives and friends. We are certain that, on the other side, Jack has met up with all of the cats he loved so dearly.
Jack was raised in Menaik and spent many years working in the gas fields of Fox Creek before settling in Wetaskiwin. He was known to enjoy his family, fishing, cooking, growing flowers, telling jokes, and having good conversation.
As per his wishes, Jack will be cremated, and his ashes scattered. There will be no service. Instead, please consider taking a walk in nature or listening to your favorite piece of music while reflecting on your personal memories of Jack.
Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses of Unit 33 at the Wetaskiwin Hospital for their care and compassion, and Dr. B. Gagnon for the many years he looked after our Dad.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation (6910-47 Street, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 3N3)
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of John “Jack Edward Sweet August 24 2020..
