Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of John ‘Jack’ Blagdon, beloved husband of Gloria (Golding) Blagdon, wish to announce his passing which occurred on December 21, 2020 at the Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. Born in Fortune, NF, he was the son of the late John J. and Charlotte (Heptitch) Blagdon.
Jack was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces and spent his working life with Irving Burner Services. He was a member of the Buffalo Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branches #14 and #53.
He is survived by his sons John Wayne of Sicamous, BC, Kenneth Paul of Sicamous, BC, Kevin George (Fran Cyr) of Saint John; sister Hattie Butt (William), 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Besides Gloria, his wife of 59 years, and his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers; George and Charles Blagdon, and sisters Mary Morash, Blanche Dodge, Ann Blangdon and Ruby Young.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424. Following cremation, there will be a graveside service for both Jack and Gloria at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery the first part of January 2021. Remembrances made to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
