John George Esslinger
September 12, 1932 – April 26, 2020
With great sadness we announce the passing of John George Esslinger. After a lengthy battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26 at Gimli Community Health Centre. He was 87 years old and a faithful member of the Winnipeg Beach congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He took great comfort in the Bible’s promise of a time when sickness and death will be no more, along with the hope of the resurrection.
After 64 years of marriage, he will lovingly be remembered by his wife Shirley Esslinger; son Gerry (Linda); daughter Diana (Lawrence); granddaughters Caley Goray and Sara Goray, and great grandchildren Michael, Casey and Laila-Mae.
He was predeceased by brothers Richard and Ronald and leaves behind brother Larry.
Cremation has already taken place at Gilbart Funeral Home. Any further arrangements may be determined at a later date.
