Memorial Donation
Passed away suddenly on Friday, July 31, 2020 John F. Whelan age 64 years of Cape Broyle. Predeceased by his father John (2009), mother Jose (2020), brothers: Joseph (1985), Adrian (2005), nephew Curtis (2003) and brother-in-law Stephen O’Reilly (1991).
Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his partner Joyce Mund and her children Jason, St. John’s, Charles and Paula, Indiana.
Also leaving behind his sisters: Carmel O’Reilly (Stephen-deceased) Mobile, Mary Carew (Don) Bay Bulls, Arlene Croft, Cape Broyle, Brenda Yard (Thomas), Ann Marie Carey (Joseph), Rhonda Trainor (Doug) Witless Bay, Colleen Alleyne (Fred) Scarborough, Ont. and sister-in-law Bonnie Whelan, Bay Bulls. Brothers: Gerard (Betty Anne) Barrie, Ont., Kevin (Wanda) Bay Bulls, Michael (Patricia) Tors Cove, Dermot, Scarborough, Ont., also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. A public visitation for John and his mother Jose (in keeping with current Covid-19 restrictions) will be held on Thursday, August 6th from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
A private family church service will be held at Immaculate Conception RC Church, Cape Broyle on Friday, August 7 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Cape RC Cemetery, Cape Broyle.
Donations in John’s memory can be made to; Cape Broyle Church Garden Club, P.O. Box 32, Cape Broyle, NL, A0A 1P0 or Cape Broyle Cemetary Committee, P.O. Box 10, Cape Broyle, NL, A0A 1P0 or to a charity of your choice.
