Johnny also known as Papa Smurf spent most of his life in West Bay, Newfoundland. He was a well-loved member of not one community but loved by many of the communities. Johnny was best known for his outgoing personality and his ability to drink anyone under the table. He was a hard-working man who worked alongside many of the local fishermen in the community, he enjoyed spending his time on the water, cutting wood, and hunting. Johnny absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who referred to him as “Poppy Lee”. Waiting for him in Heaven’s is his late wife Jenny, son Nelson, Grand-daughter Stephanie, many family members and many of his buddies. Johnny Lee will be greatly missed but surely not forgotten, he was a Legend at his best.
