Lives are like rivers: Eventually they go where they must. Not where we want them to.
Born Toronto 1948, died November 29 2020, John passed away peacefully at home in his wife’s arms.
Predeceased by his father Jack and his mother Jean. He is survived by his beloved wife Debbi, siblings Rick (Rose) Linda (Joe) Mark (Bib) Steve (Coreen) Cheryl (Jim) children Tanya (Eric) and Peter (Jessie) 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Dad was an adept fisherman and loved the outdoors. He had a lifelong infatuation with golf and lovingly passed the hobby on to his granddaughter, Helena. He also loved to laugh and was a creative prankster.
John was a patient and loving Dad and doting Papa. In his youth, John dreamt of living on the West Coast and realized his dream in 1989.
John was a born salesman and worked as an advertising executive and in newspaper publishing before moving on to car sales. He was a lover of fine food, a skilled home cook and an avid reader.
John requested no service and in lieu of flowers a donation to any organization dear to you.
