1929-2020
Joellyn Ruth Brown of Coldstream passed away on Wednesday, January 29,
2020 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland. She was born
November 22, 1929 and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Reta
Long. She was also predeceased by her husband, Lorne Brown; daughter,
Ruth Brown; siblings, Inez Long, Ronald Long, James Long; brothers-in
law, Clinton Boone, and Richard Goupille.
Joellyn is survived by her children, Lorna (Gordon) Mowry of
Williamsburg, Ronald Brown of Coldstream, Roland (Kellie) Brown of
Coldstream; grandchildren, Heidi (Jeff) Robertson, Judith (Ryan)
Young, Jared (Kristen) Mowry, Ruth (Corey) Lint, Walker Brown, Brogan
Brown, Mahalia Brown; great grandchildren, Emily Robertson, Parker
Robertson, Adrianna Young, Jael Young, Bowden Young, Eli Young, Jesse
Mowry, Aiden Mowry, Griffin Mowry; siblings, Eunice Boone, Lorraine
(Leslie) MacDonald, Alice (Allie) Rourke, Vida (Dale) McLean, Marie
Goupille, Avis (Robert) Booker, Andy (Sharon) Long, Wayne (Barbara)
Long; sister-in-law, Alice Long; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street,
Hartland on Monday, February 3rd from noon to 2:00 p.m. The funeral
service will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Gordon Mowry officiating.
Interment will be in the Lower Windsor Cemetery at a later date. If so
desired, donations can be made to the Central Carleton Nursing Home or
