Obituary of Joe Ganslmaier
It is with great sadness the family of Josef “Joe” Ganslmaier has to announce his passing on December 7, 2020 at age 82. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Mary (Len) and Chris (Bev), his grandchildren Andrea, Heidi, and Gary (Amanda), and his two great-grandsons Hudson and Jaden, as well as all his extended family and friends. Joe was predeceased by his wife Rosemary and recently his son Hubert.
He immigrated to Canada with his young family in 1976 and built the life he dreamed of by logging and farming in the Fort St. John and Dawson Creek area. He loved his family, his farm, and his friends and was able to stay farming until the very end. He had many talents and was always willing to share them with anyone that needed a helping hand.
In keeping with current COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Joe to the South Peace SPCA, 11418 3 Street, Dawson Creek, British Columbia, V1G 4L5.
