It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jody Hoffman on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at the age of 54 years young. During her battle with cancer she showed incredible strength and courage. Her positivity carried through with her until the end.
Jody was always active in her community. While her kids were young she was the president of the community association and frequently volunteered with the school. Before she got sick, she worked at the Royal Canadian Legion as the CEO. She took great pride in her work at the Legion. She went above and beyond her required duties. You could often find her representing the legion outside of her scheduled work hours. That was a testament to who she was.
On Sundays when Jody wasn’t lying by the pool, she could be found at the bingo hall enjoying her favourite past time. Growing up she loved spending time with her family at Pasqua Lake. For the past 10 years, her and her husband Chris loved travelling through the mountains finding hidden lakes and views. Mostly, she loved being with her grandchildren as they were her biggest joy in life.
She was predeceased by her father, Harold. Left to cherish Jody’s memory is her common-law husband Chris, mother Kay, daughter Ally (Steve) and their children Presley and Bodhi, daughter Kayla (Jason) and their son Lyndon, stepdaughter Dannie and her children Tavin and Charlie, stepson Brendan, and her brother Trevor.
Due to the current pandemic, no memorial service will be held. We encourage people to celebrate her life with us by sharing your stories and memories of Jody in the messages section below.
Friends and family wishing to make donations in Jody’s memory can donate to the Royal Canadian Legion or the Allan Blair Cancer Centre.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jody Hoffman November 26th 2020..
