Joannes Jesudasen Mathuranayagam Monday December 21st 2020

Mathuranayagam, Joannes (March 11, 1925 – December 21, 2020):
Passed away peacefully at home on December 21st, 2020 in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada at the age of 95.
Beloved husband of the late Mercy Leelavathi.
Dear father of Salome (Andrew) Bhaskar.
Cherished grandfather to Caroline (Nikhil) Thiruvengadam and great-grandfather to Samantha, Sharon, Samuel, and Sophia Nikhil.
A man of strong convictions, who lived life to the fullest. An extraordinary story-teller himself, he never failed to connect with people and learn their stories. A much beloved teacher, he inspired us with his joyful spirit, endless curiosity, imagination, and love for learning. He loved God, his large family, literature, music, and making people laugh! He was passionate about playing his violin for the glory of God. He will be terribly missed by all who were touched by his life. Our loss is heaven’s gain.
We do not grieve like those without hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. -1 Thessalonians 4: 13 – 14.
Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private graveside service will be held at Williamsburg Cemetery on December 23rd at 2.00pm.
