It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jodi
Pond of Riverview, which occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday,
January 26, 2020. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of Mary Lou
(Marshall) and the late Karl Smith.
Jodi had a zest for life, she loved to be in nature
especially out on the trail in the SXS ATV with her husband Mike and
their many friends. She enjoyed watching HGTV home renovation shows.
Jodi was an Assistant Administrator with Sobey’s, where she
had been employed with Sobey’s since 1999 and worked at
several locations over her tenure.
Besides her mother Mary Lou Smith, she will be dearly missed
by her husband, Mike and step daughter Melissa, sisters: Kim Smith
Allard (Steven) of Ottawa, Nancy Smith of Moncton, brother Stephen
Smith of Saint John, foster brother Gerard Duguay of Moncton, a nephew
and several nieces and cousins. Besides her father Karl, she was
predeceased by her foster sister Sara Bourgeois.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 3-6 PM,
for a time to share and celebrate Jodi’s life. The interment
will take place in the Berryton Cemetery at a later date. Donations to
The Canadian Cancer Society and the Berryton Cemetery would be
appreciated by the family.
