Patriquin, Jo-Ann Mae – 60, It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Jo-Ann Mae Patriquin of Bible Hill, formerly of Wentworth. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Cora (MacLean) Patriquin. Jo-Ann had received her Personal Care Worker’s Certificate at East Cumberland Lodge in Pugwash and continued to work as a P.C.W. at the Sunset Community. She felt blessed to be born into such a large and extended loving family. She greeted everyone with a smile and a hug that always made you feel welcome and loved. She could never get enough hugs and kisses from her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband, Greg, Bible Hill; son, Nathan (Christa), Wentworth; daughter, Jillian (Scott Collier), North Wallace; grandchildren, James, Kaleb, Anna, Eric and Nolan; step-mother, Shirley (Crowley) Patriquin, Greenville; brothers, Creighton, Greenvile, Rodger (Shelley), Greenville, David (Patricia), Westchester, Brian “Rickey” (Beryl), Miramichi, Steven, Westchester, Carson, Edmonton, Ab.; sisters, Carolyn (Tom) Walker, Truro, Raelene (Rod) Jamieson, Oxford, Laurene (Glenn) DeCoste, Antigonish, Lorna (Darren) Rushton, Oxford, Robin (Keith) Miller, Antigonish, Julie (Jim) Teed, Edmonton, Ab., Judy Clarke, Dartmouth; in-laws, Carolyn (David) Jackson, Glenholm, Gail Blaikie (James Atkinson), Bible Hill, Cindy (Les) Emslie, Pugwash; many cherished nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Wayne and Robbie in infancy; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Miriam (Woodbury) Patiquin; brother and sister in-law, Philip and Marlys. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22, in Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the Wentworth Recreation Centre. Rev. Steve Adams officiating with a reception to follow. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the IWK Health Foundation for their amazing work while her grandchildren were in their care.
