James Douglas Smith of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Cedarcroft Place Retirement Residence in the early hours of April 23, 2020 in his 80 year.
Born in Huron East (Morris Township) on February 6, 1941. Beloved husband to the late Marilyn (Mary) (2003). Father to John and Jimmy both of London. Older brother to Don of Ottawa, Rae of Brussels and Douglas & Colleen of Guelph. Survived by nieces and nephews: Karl, Kenneth, Leif, Kassandra, Jessica, Matthew, Andrew, Shirin and Anisa. Beloved son of the late Douglas Smith (1956) & the late Adah Smith nee Grasby (2009). Predeceased by sister Joan (1956) and brothers Larry (1996) and Robert (2019).
Cremation has taken place. A memorial to celebrate the life of Jim will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to the Salvation Army Stratford Branch would be appreciated.
