Obituary
It is with great sadness that the children of Terrance James “Jim” Giesbrecht announce his passing.
Gone before him is his love and soul mate Barbara Giesbrecht, his parents, his sisters and his brother as well as other in laws.
Left to mourn are his daughter Laurie (Brian) Jansen; his son Terry (Tosha) Giesbrecht; his grandchildren James, Lindsay, and Paisley; his siblings Vi (Earl) Smith, Gord (Lori) Cuff, and Wilford (Josi) Cuff; sisters-in-law Louisa Giesbrecht and Iris Inglis; many cousins, nieces and nephews; and his companion of the last 10 years, Helen Ruttan who he shared much love with, along with her family members who also loved Jim dearly.
A small private family ceremony will be held to honour Jim, and at a time when we can have a larger gathering, we will host a celebration of his life for those who loved him to attend.
One of Jim’s greatest joys in his life was watching his grandkids play hockey and baseball, therefore, in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Red Deer Kidsport – an organization giving other kids the opportunity to play sport.
To send flowers to the family or plant a tree in memory of Jim Giesbrecht, please visit our floral store.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Jim Giesbrecht November 24 1941 August 11 2020 (age 78)..
