Jim’s Obituary
James (Jim) Grant Anderson passed away in Moose Jaw, SK on December 13, 2020 at the age of 86. James was born November 22, 1934 in Stettler, AB. Predeceased by his father William (1961), his mother, Margaret (1964), and his sister, Janet (Jenny) Krebs (June 2020). He will be remembered and loved forever by Luella (Lou), his wife and best friend of 59 years. James was a loving father to his daughters, Leslie Patsack (Terry Ferguson) and her children, Nicole Patsack, Tyler Patsack (Cassey); Lisa Joinson and her children, Jessica (Mitch) and their child Gwendolyn; Danny (Catherine) and children Samuel, Henry, Lillian, Eleanor; Lexi (Jesse). Jim will also be remembered by his brother-in-law Alan Krebs; niece and nephews, Sandy, Blaine, and Doug. Dad was very proud of his military service. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1952-1956. He received a Special Service Medal for serving in Korea from 1954-1955 on board the HMCS Sioux. Dad also served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from 1959-1980. He was a Master Corporal, Air Frame Technician, stationed in Baden Baden, Germany 1963-1967; Cold Lake, AB 1967-1977; and Moose Jaw, SK 1977-1980. On retirement Dad enjoyed working in the garden with mom and was proud of having the greenest grass in the neighborhood. He also enjoyed stamp collecting, model railroading, and was the family historian. A private family service will be held at a later date. In living memory of Jim, a memorial planting will be made by Jones – Parkview Funeral Services.
